Jumping Waves by Lizzy Hardingham
Waves roll onto the sand
And tidal forces are always at hand
And I can’t stop them coming
But you, well you know, there’s no sense in running
When you can jump when the wave rolls around
You can jump, lift your feet from the ground
You can rest for a while til maybe a smile can be found
And maybe no more waves will roll around
Some think the moon pulls her weight
Others think it’s only fate
But I can’t stop them rolling over
‘Cus you can strong and you can stand tall and there’s no way that wave will be bowling you over
If you jump when the wave rolls around
You can jump- lift your feet from the ground
You can rest for a while til maybe a smile can be found
And maybe no more waves will roll around
I know you think that you might fall but I’ve got no doubt
You can always take one more, and then get up from the floor
‘Cus the tide will go out
If you jump when the wave rolls around
You can jump- lift your feet from the ground
You can rest for a while til maybe a smile can be found
And maybe no more waves will roll around
And maybe no more waves will roll around
