Cheshire Man arranged by Lizzy Hardingham

The Cheshire man sailed into Spain for to trade the merchandise

And when he arrived out from the mane a Spaniard he espied

Who said look here you English rogue, what fruits and spices fine

Our land produces twice a year that though has not in thine

The Cheshire man ran   to his hoard and fetched a Cheshire cheese

He said look here you dog behold- we have such fruits as these

Your fruits are ripe but twice a year as you yourself did say

Such as I present you here our land brings twice a day

And then into a passion flew, his rapier took in hand

The Cheshire man kicked up his heels saying though art at my command

Never let a   Spaniard boast while Cheshire men abound

Lest they should be taught the cost to dance a Cheshire round

Never let a Spaniard boast while Cheshire men abound

Lest they should be taught the cost to dance a Cheshire round
